Perception is not always reliable. In TCM terminology, Jun Huo--君火 's quality if clarity. Withour clarity the best and most rigorous logarithms are futile. Perception is not always just visual. The discussion is too narrowly focused on visual input.

Hi Liang--
I definitely agree with you that perception is not always visual and that focusing just on the visual is too narrow and definitely confining. Unfortunately, our modern culture is extremely focused on the visual, to the detriment, I think of the other senses. Many people don't really learn about the world anymore, they just know what they see.
